Embark on the "Twiga Tatu" tour in Kenya, a captivating journey through Nairobi, Samburu, Lake Nakuru, and Maasai Mara. Immerse in vibrant city life, encounter unique wildlife in Samburu, witness flamingos at Lake Nakuru, and experience thrilling safaris in the legendary Maasai Mara. It's an adventure of a lifetime!
Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport - Nairobi, you will be received by warm welcome and transferred to your hotel. Overnight at Holiday Inn Mayfair Cort.
Drive north through the banana, pineapple, coffee and tea plantation to your base hotel - Outspan Hotel in time for lunch. (Carry an overnight soft bag and leave the rest of your luggage at the base hotel). Transfer in the lodge vehicle to your overnight game viewing treehotel, to watch wildlife drinking at the floodlit waterhole. Overnight at Treetops Hotel (B,L,D)
Return to base base hotel after breakfast. Drive to Kenya's rugged north-eastern region, arriving at your lodge around noon. Afternoon game drive to see unique animals such as Grevy's zebra, Somali Ostrich, Reticulated Giraffe, only found in this park. Other game include elephants, hyena, and dikdik. Two game drives on the second day with a visit to Samburu village for a cultural experience. Overnight at Sarova Shaba Lodge (B,L,D)
Drive to Lake Nakuru National Park via Nyahururu Falls down the eastern escarpment of the magnificent. Afternoon game drive to view the flamingoes and other birds that feed in the alkaline water. Other game found in this park are Black and White Rhino, Buffalo, Leopard, Lion, Girrafe, White and Black Colobus Monkey, Impala, among other game. Overnight at Lion Hill Lodge (B,L,D)
After breakfast traverse the Rift Valley and ascend its western rim into Maasailand. Red-clad, spear-wilding warriors tend to their herds of cattle among the wildlife, admirably unmoved by the presence of large predators. You find the Maasai giraffe in this park. Afternoon game drive in the Mara, famous for the Wildebeest and Zebra migration and its abundance of wildlife. Two game drives on the second day. Overnight at Mara Simba Lodge (B,L,D)
